Low system performance
Between 08:05 and 08:38 UTC, the system was running with limited performance. This affected all parts of the system, but most significantly the backend. During the incident there were multiple spikes of system load that lead to an increase in response times and error rates of up to 11% of requests (only for a few seconds at a time). Most of the time during the incident, all requests were answered, although slower than usual.
Root cause of the problem was a database migration that should have had no impact at all, since it only confirmed changes that have already been made previously. However, for some reason, the database forgot some internal statistical values about the affected tables and following that, performance of queries on these tables was limited.

The performance problems mostly seem to affect backend pages that show an object history, such as the history of an order.
